Steppy’s Tour in NW WORKS, An American Style Workwear Buyer Shop Located in Hong
Although NW WORKS has opened only for two years, it wins over many worker-style lovers by its American style workwear and its advocacy of “lightweight” apparels.

Although NW WORKS has opened only for two years, it wins over many worker-style lovers by its American style workwear and its advocacy of “lightweight” apparels.

Other than Japanese workwear brands like UES and BELAFONTE, there are also silverware and leather goods as accessories. What is worth noticing is that there’s a special zone providing Barber service in the shop.

We talked to Kelvin, the owner. Before NW WORKS was opened, he worked as a supervisor in a construction site in Hong Kong. He began to love the workwear culture because of his friends and some Japanese magazine, and of course, he started with jeans.

NW WORKS seems to be more shopping-friendly for those who just begin to get to know about workwear culture. Kelvin here recommends five items, covering head to toe.

1.Baseball Cap

The Ideal Cap co. from New York, USA, began to make baseball caps for the American Professional Baseball League since 1949. The long history made it a brand that’s the “original cap of all baseball caps.”

2.Jeans

When it comes to jeans recommendation, nothing is better than the most popular straight cut UES 400R. It’s a year-round choice with a weight of 14.9oz, pretty balanced for its durability and comfortability.

3.Footwear

Deck Shoes from Wakouwa are models used by the US Navy during World War II. The two color selection, white on black and brown on black, were also used by the Navy at that time.

Address: Room 403, 4/F, prosper Commercial Building, No.9 Yin Chong Street, Mong Kok.

Opening hours: 3 pm to 9 pm
