Kappa x WHIZ LIMITED Shadow Collaborative Capsule
The twelve items in this collection follow the main red-and-blue and black-and-white palette include basketball shorts, hoodie, windbreakers, raincoats, baseball jackets, trainers, as well accessories such as ninja caps.

Recently, WHIZ collaborates with the Italian brand, Kappa, and unveiled its collaborative efforts dubbed “Shadow Collection”. The twelve items in this collection follow the main red-and-blue and black-and-white palette include basketball shorts, hoodie, windbreakers, raincoats, baseball jackets, trainers, as well accessories such as ninja caps.

Thanks to Hiroaki Shitano, who has been "immersed" in the street culture for many years, this collaboration consists of a whole lot of highlights on the overall loose fit silhouettes, with eye-catching details.

Like this red-and-blue stitching short trench coat, the double zipper goes with an additional long zipper at the side. This sartorial detail makes the look more complex, while the design of the collar-extending zipper ensures the windproof performance of the trench coat.

Take a more detailed look you’ll find the Kappa Logos being redesigned in this capsule, mixing with WHIZ LIMITED’s iconic lightning bolt. The classic Omini figures are also presented in the “shadow” and “silhouette” way.

Highlights of this capsule also include loose-neck red oversized sweaters with hem drawstrings, long trench coats with fishtail details and 3D hood, delightful ninja hats and many more.

Moreover, items like the long raincoat/poncho, zippered windbreakers all feature high-performance characteristic such as water-proofing, wind-proofing, and hidden pockets. The products are mode of waterproof and lightweight materials and work perfectly for the rainy and chilly seasons in the city.

In addition to the mentioned Kappa Logo, classical Kappa Motifs, Banda Logos, and the special collaborative “Kappa Shadow Collection Designed by WHIZ in TOKYO” letters are also imprinted.

The classic Benda Logos are displayed in a more creative way in this shadow collection: they are cleverly embedded in the hidden zipper of windbreakers and sweatpants.

Finally, I’d like to say something about the basketball shorts. I guess why it appears in this collaboration is that Hiroaki Shitano is a basketball enthusiast in real life. If you look at his Instagram, you’ll find out how much he loves basketball.
