GRAPH LAYER, a shop that shows its supreme quality in detail from interior design to selected brands. Dadong I went into the shop and saw Phlannel, WESTOVERALLS, and STUDIO NICHOLSON are all displayed in this shop. These brands are not necessarily the mainstreams, but you’ll like them only by seeing and feeling them; their details, materials and crafting indicate their qualities.



Quality shoes like CAMBER, Novasta are all carried in GRAPH LAYER. The shop is managed by Kay and Kevin, passionate fashion lovers who knew each other in college. They were all majored in fashion and wanted to have their own selection shop since college. Before the shop is founded, they worked as stylist and fashion buyer.



For the name “GRAPH LAYER”, their original thought is that “graph” and “layer” are both five-letters words, so the combination would look neat. And “layer” in fashion means the matching in clothes. They wanted to show their belief to deliver their selection rules: just like you need different layers when styling your outfit, you can get all different layers of clothes in the shop.

 


The two founders are now going to introduce several brands that receive highest popularity among customers, and can also represent the selection standard of GRAPH LAYER.



The first brand is URU TOKYO, one that’s been popular in Japan. Its designer Masaharu Urushiyama has worked in Comme des Garçons for eight years as model designer, and founded its personal brand URU TOKYO after. The brand is known for loose and tailored fabrics. The color is also quite special. URU Currently is the most popular brand among our guests.

 

 

The second one is TENDER, a brand from the UK. Their products look familiar each season, but they spend a lot of time on fabric details and dyeing. For example, the Periscope Pocket Tail Shirt is made with cotton yarn. They use the same technology as car airbags to compile the fabric, and follows a traditional dyeing technique called Indian Black Dye to from the charcoal-grey plaid. The buttons were made of olive wood, which is a commonly-used natural material for Tender.



The brand APOTHEKE FRAGRANCE is an aroma brand coming from Chiba, Japan. Now, Hong Kong people are slowing paying attention to lifestyle, and APOTHEKE FRAGRANCE is exclusively carried in GRAPH LAYER. Products include incenses, candles, sprays, and so on.



In addition, the brand is connected with a home furniture brand called BP.Tokyo. For example, this incense holder can be placed horizontally, vertically, or hang on the wall. The small holes on its body can spread the scent more evenly.
